Is it possible to order Scheurich products directly from the manufacturer?
Scheurich only supplies retail businesses not consumers. You can find our products in a large number of well assorted garden centres, construction markets, florists, as well as specialised sales floors of furniture shops.
On the web, our products are available online in the Scheurich-Shop among other websites.
Scheurich classics: Schlemmertopf, Keragrill & Co.
The production of particular of our classics has ended several years ago, and they are not being distributed anymore. Unfortunately, all remaining stocks have been depleted. Among others, our Schlemmertopf (clay baker), Rumtopf (rum bowl), Tonfopf (clay pot), Brotfrischtopf (bread container), Kressegärtchen (cress garden), Fisch-Schlemmertopf (fish clay baker), backing dishes, Creperie (pancake baker), Aromatopf (preserving pot), Keramat, Kerastar, Knuspertopf (micro roaster) and Keragrill (top grill) including accessories are not available anymore.

Why do I have to water my plant although there’s still water left in my Bördy, Froggy etc.?
Please make sure to always water your plants normally. The water reservoir retained by Bördy (Froggy etc.) is dispensed slowly and your plant is able to absorb it. This way, the plant doesn’t have to be watered as frequently, but the reservoir must not be the only source of water. Depending on surrounding temperature and location, your plant needs more moisture than is dispensed by the water reservoir.
How can I decalcify or clean my Bördy/Froggy?
Use a solution of warm water with a modest amount of vinegar to optimally clean and decalcify Bördies/Froggies or put them into the solution for about 10 minutes. Then wipe possible remainders of the solution off the plastic and clay parts. Rinse your Bordies/Froggies carefully with tap water before putting them back to use to make sure that no vinegar is dispensed into the root area of your plant.
Do additives in the water harm the plastic water reservoirs?
To make use of your Bördy or Froggy for as long as possible, we recommend not to put fertiliser or similar additives into the water. It may prevent the products from functioning as intended.
Can I use Bördy/Froggy for my orchids?
In general it is possible to use Bördy or Froggy for orchids, but we do not recommend it. To make sure that water can be dispensed reliably, the clay part has to be properly placed into the substrate (planting soil etc.). Substrates commonly used for orchids are more coarsely grained and fluffier, and proper contact with the soil cannot be guaranteed. If used with care, the clay part should not damage the roots.
My Bördy Starlight set does not glow - is it broken?
Please check the switch on the bottom of the solar panel. It has to be set to “ON” to make sure the Bördy Starlight functions as intended. If you’re using it for the first time, it may be that the battery has to first charge in the sunlight.

What can I do if the spray nozzle of my Sprayman/Sprayboy doesn’t work properly?
Have you tried rotating the wheel at the very front of the spray nozzle? Most times it just hasn’t been opened all the way and therefore the Sprayman/Sprayboy can’t do its job. It’s also possible that the spray nozzle is clogged. In that case, please remove the nozzle and rinse it with tap water.
What’s the best way to clean my watering can?
The best way to clean your watering can is to use a lint-free cloth and a warm solution of water and a modest amount of vinegar to remove possible residues. Before putting your watering can back to use, we recommend to rinse it with a sufficient amount of clear water to ensure that no vinegar enters to the root area of your plant.
Can I clean Scheurich cover pots and vases with the dishwasher?
Ceramic products should not be cleaned in the dishwasher. We recommend to clean our cover pots and vases by hand using lukewarm water and possibly a small amount of detergent. High temperatures and extremely aggressive dish-washing detergent could possibly do damage to the surface of the products.
Are outdoor containers by Scheurich frost- and UV-resistant?
In general, our planting containers are frost resistant. In individual cases this may depend on the contained plants and the moisture in the soil. A lot of water in the soil combined with extremely low sub-zero temperatures may harm the pot.
Our outdoor containers are UV-resistant.
Where are Scheurich’s production sites?
Scheurich products are manufactured at two sites in Germany. Almost all of our ceramics product range is produced in Kleinheubach, whereas most of our plastic products for the in- and outdoors are made in Neukrichen/Pleiße. Only a small number of purchased articles are manufactured outside of Germany. More details about its origin can be found on the product.
Is it possible to tour the sites?
For reasons of liability, it is not possible for private individuals to take guided tours.
Is there a Scheurich factory outlet open for shopping?
Scheurich has no factory outlet, because we only supply retail businesses.
Is it possible to use outdoor containers indoors?
One of the useful features of most of our outdoor containers is the lockable water-drainage hole. It prevents water-logging during strong rainfalls. When used outdoors, the drainage hole is open and in “parking position”, safely stored in the base of the container. When you move the container into the house, you can seal the drainage hole with the plug to keep it from dripping. This makes the containers multi-talents of the indoors and outdoors.
Who can help me if I lost the red plug to close the drainage hole of my outdoor container?
If you’ve lost the red plug for your outdoor container, please contact the shop where you purchased the container.
Where can I obtain a product catalogue?
Our catalogues are targeted at retail businesses, because we only supply the retail industry. Sales representatives may find our current catalogues on our website after logging into the partner portal or they can have them mailed if they so wish. Where can I find the price of a Scheurich product?
We supply businesses worldwide with our products. Sales prices are set by those businesses. We can and must not influence their pricing. If you have questions regarding the price of a product, simply give a local business a call.
What’s the warranty period Scheurich is offering for its products?
We offer a two-year warranty for our products. If you are having unexpected difficulties with your Scheurich product, please get in touch with the store where you purchased it. They will be glad to assist you.
